I am so glad on how this shoot worked out! Here is the backstory. One of the very talented make up artists, Krii Gibson, and I had a conversation about doing a bridal make up look for someone locally for their anniversary. Great idea right? Krii and I posted on our facebook walls to submit a photo of the couple along with their anniversary. It was very disappointed because for a while we got a whole bunch of nothing.
Just when I thought all hope was lost a local model,Reiko Winchell, asked if her and her husband can do it. Hmm let me think…1) She is already aware of what to do in front of the camera 2) She has a very unique look 3) I have been wanting to work with her since the charity fashion show…YUP! I talked to Krii about it and everything was good to go.
Now the fun part, the planning of the actual shoot. First hurdle was trying to find a dress. I contacted a couple people on ETSY, but then my wife suggested a friend of ours that has a wedding dress. I was thinking what are the chances it would fit, but how awesome would it be if it did.

As you can see it fit perfectly. A very very big thank you to Monica Motos for being so kind in lending us your dress.
I really wanted to grow my editing skills to match what I was getting from Reiko. Saying I learned a lot is an understatement.. When I get to a rough spot a very good fellow artist helped me out of this slump Emerson McArthur definitely helped me through this. Mentoring me as well with photo feedback was Michael Taylor who has helped me since I became focused on taking my photography to a beauty/fashion aspect since early 2011.
Here are some more of these images that I am very proud of, and happy anniversary to Reiko and Mike WInchell.
